Cooks of Cranleigh is a typical small local business and we focus our responsibilities on the communities in which we operate as well as the environment. We understand the need for good social structures and relationships with suppliers, business partners and the local community.
We continually aim to consider all elements of our community responsibility when we are planning in order to provide services that are ethically acceptable in all cultures.
Cooks of Cranleigh, together with its parent company the Bournes Group often support local charities and we encourage our staff to participate in local and international fund raising events, some typical examples are:
*Glebelands Comprehensive School - Transported materials during building of their fresh herb gardens project (promoting healthy eating).
*Romania Shoe Box Appeal - Donated packing boxes to help consolidate the goods to be shipped.
*Cranleigh Cranes (Child Cycle Club) - Donated funds to establish road safety training for children.
*Cranleigh Cycling Club - Provided transport to a large charity fund raising event.
*Young Farmers Club - Provided a truck as a field office during a fund raising Gymkhana event.
*Donated funds to local infants school fund raising events.
*Supported numerous employees to enter personal challenge events to raise funds for charity.
